With Christopher Buchtmann and Philipp Ziereis, the two longest-lived Kiez kickers are leaving. Buchtmann had been at Millerntor since 2012 and reigning captain Ziereis arrived from Regensburg a year later. Kicker had already reported in late April that the duo and Rico Benatelli, James Lawrence and Sebastian Ohlsson would no longer take the lead. Finn Ole Becker also receives flowers, the home grown flower goes to Hoffenheim.

Hain goes too

Hain’s demise was not necessarily foreseen. The former goalkeeper coached the goalkeeper after retiring in 2011 and received a new contract until this summer, two years ago, when Timo Schultz was enthroned as head coach. While Schultz has already stretched at the start of the year and his assistants Loic Favé and Fabian Hürzeler will follow, St. Pauli are now repositioning themselves in the position of goalkeeper coach.

The personal data of Maximilian Dittgen, Simon Makienok and Adam Dzwigala are still open. With this trio, the sporting future of the club is to be awaited. Now that security has been planned for another second division year since last weekend, talks with this trio are also being finalized.
