Sporting director Salihamidzic whistled at the championship celebration

It was supposed to be a worthy end to the 2021/22 season, but for Hasan Salihamidzic, FC Bayern’s championship celebration after the final day of the Bundesliga turned into a challenge for a moment.

Hasan Salihamidzic certainly imagined things differently. FC Bayern’s sporting director was booed by fans attending the championship celebration of coach Julian Nagelsmann’s team. This was unanimously reported by various media.

As a result, the team went to championship celebrations at the Paulaner beer garden on the Nockherberg soon after returning from the away match in Wolfsburg (2: 2) on Saturday night. Bayern stadium spokesman Stephan Lehmann called the team and managers individually when the championship trophy was presented.

While Robert Lewandowski, who was willing to emigrate, was also cheered, “Brazzo Salihamidzic” booed by some of the approximately 1,000 Bayern fans in attendance.

Fans of Salihamidzic and Bayern have not fully warmed up with each other since the 45-year-old took office. The former player is also accused of Monaco’s failure in the Champions League quarter-finals. Even more: on social media there have even been death threats against the family of the club maker.

In 2017 Salihamidzic became Bayern’s sporting director, three years later he was promoted to sporting director. Since then, Salihamidzic has headed the club together with new CEO Oliver Kahn.
