SC Freiburg wants to strengthen with Steffen Tigges

SC Freiburg are on the verge of a sensational entry into the Champions League. In order to keep pace in the premier class, the Breisgauers are likely looking to sign a Dortmund forward.

SC Freiburg would like to expand their staff in view of their imminent entry into the Champions League. Breisgauer should be particularly interested in the signing of Steffen Tigges of Borussia Dortmund. At least that’s what “Sport Bild” reports. As a result, the striker with premier-class experience – two appearances for BVB this season – has ended up in Freiburg’s sights, particularly for his head power.

With the possible transfer of Tigges’, Freiburg also want to anticipate the imminent departure of Ermedin Demirovic. The forward of the Bosnian national team has been associated with Hertha BSC for months. Demirovic, who has scored only two goals for Sport-Club this season, still has a contract until 2024, according to “Transfermarkt” his market value is 7.5 million euros. Tigges should be much cheaper for Freiburg. The 23-year-old is linked to the BVB until 2024, its market value is 1.5 million euros.

Dortmund’s noble joker obligation is not the only transfer exclamation point looming in the Black Forest: as reported unanimously by various media, 2014 world champion Matthias Ginter is on his way back to SC Freiburg. The defender, whose contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach expires at the end of the season, was born in Freiburg and played for coach Christian Streich’s side until 2014.
