The basis for the Mammoth is the high-performance RAM TRX pickup, which was introduced in the US for model year 2021 and has over 700hp. Hennessey helped a bit with performance and stretched the body considerably to tie a second rear axle under the XL cargo area.

The extra axle not only adds a martial aspect, but should also offer traction benefits, which can be useful at this level of performance. The manufacturer has not yet revealed the speed with which the 6×6 sprints from a standstill at 100 km / h. There is already a two-axle Mammoth 1000 TRX with the same specifications which takes just over three seconds for this discipline.
