Focus on international brands

In the future, FrieslandCampina Germany will focus on the marketing and sales of its international Valeless brands, Chocomel, its cheese brands and private labels produced by FrieslandCampina overseas, such as cheese and cream spray. The company will also continue its professional activity. FrieslandCampina will also remain present with Kievit in Lippstadt (NRW) and with DFE Pharma in Goch (NRW) and Nörten-Hardenberg (Lower Saxony).

No changes for German suppliers

The dairy cooperative will continue to collect and process the milk of its member German farmers. The rights and obligations connected with membership of the cooperative continue to apply to them. In addition, they would continue to be entitled to the FrieslandCampina guaranteed price, additional cash payment, nominative reserve and, if applicable, any surcharges. The new owner will also take over the contracts of German dairy producers who are non-member suppliers, it is said.

Approval by the Council of Members is still awaited

The transaction is subject to customary conditions, including approval by the board of members of the FrieslandCampina dairy cooperative. The companies have not made any statements on the financial aspects of the transaction.
