The new representative stays on board!
FC Bayern have extended their contract with goalkeeper Sven Ulreich (33) until 2023. The German record champions announced this on their website on Saturday night.
Sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic (45): “We are delighted that Sven will stay at Bayern Munich for another year. With his character and mentality, he fits perfectly into our group. Sven has a very good understanding of his role and is always there when you need him.”
Ulreich starts his seventh season at Bayern Munich. The goalkeeper was under contract in Munich from 2015 to 2020, after a season at HSV he returned to Säbener Straße last summer.
Ulreich: “FC Bayern have become like family over the years. I can’t wait for another year to spend here. I like the task of a world goalkeeper like Manuel Neuer, we have a friendly and collegial relationship between us.
Ulreich appeared in a total of 78 competitive matches for FC Bayern. He has won the league six times, the DFB Cup three times and the Champions League once.
This season, the representative of the starting goalkeeper Manuel Neuer (36 / contract expiring also at the end of the season) has been in goal eight times (6x league, 1x DFB Cup and Champions League) and has kept a clean sheet twice.
Only on Tuesday Ur-Bayer Thomas Müller (32) extended his contract in Munich, which originally expired in 2023, until 2024.
