Dax returns almost all of the profits

Dusseldorf The day after the Fed’s latest interest rate decision, the German stock market initially rose significantly, but the leading index gave up all gains. The Dax is down 0.2% in the afternoon to 13,940 points. The daily maximum, however, is 14,315 points.

Can the Dax still leave its multi-month downtrend behind? The Dax has been stuck in this trend since the beginning of the trading year: the descending line from the annual high of 16,285 points on January 5 is currently 14,216 points. Just 100 points below is the 50-day line, which reflects the medium-term trend.

The stock market barometer has tried twice to get out of this downtrend, each time without success. For this to be successful, the Dax should be quoted above this level on an ongoing basis, i.e. at the end of the day and the next trading day. Although the outlook has deteriorated in today’s trading, there are five reasons for the bearish trend to end.
