Amos Pieper of Arminia Bielefeld is expected to face a new challenge in the summer. The contract of the former U21 international expires at the end of the season. As reported by the “Daily Mirror”, the 24-year-old central defender is on the list of two top clubs and other interested parties.
According to information from the English newspaper, Chelsea FC and Borussia Dortmund are considering signing Pieper. The 1.92-meter defensive giant is said to be on the list of Newcastle United and Southampton FC as well.
No substitute for Rüdiger & Christensen
Since Londoners lose two top performers to Pieper’s place with Antonio Rüdiger (29) and Andreas Christensen (26) on a free transfer, those responsible are also looking for reinforcements who can come to London for free, according to the report, despite the their transfer to banish.
